Life Sciences (3-4 hours)
Preferred Course(s): BIOL 1103 may be required for this major due to prerequisites for major classes. Please see note below. 

Note: One course from (CHEM 1110 and CHEM 1110L), PHYS 1010, or BIOL 1103 is required for this major due to prerequisites for major classes. Once the prerequisite is met, in either in the physical or life sciences, you are free to choose any science from the remaining list.

V. Social Sciences (9 hours)

  • Students who have not met the Georgia and U.S. Constitution requirement by examination should enroll in POLS 1101 or POLS 1101E or POLS 1105H.
  • A passing grade on an examination on the history of the United States and Georgia is required to satisfy the United States and Georgia History Requirement for all persons receiving a baccalaureate degree from the University, unless exempted by one of the following courses: HIST 2111, HIST 2111E, HIST 2111H, HIST 2112, HIST 2112E, HIST 2112H, HIST 3080H. Please note the following prerequisite courses that should be satisfied while selecting classes for Areas I-V. CHEM 1110-CHEM 1110L or PHYS 1010 or BIOL 1103-BIOL 1103L is a prerequisite for TXMI 3500. STAT 2000 is a prerequisite for TXMI 3520. ARTS 2000 or ARHI 2300 is a prerequisite for TXMI 4350/6350
