Minor - Consumer Foods

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
A Consumer Foods minor provides a knowledge base for persons interested in foods and food ingredients as applied to food selection, preparation, home processing, storage and serving of safe food to consumers across the lifespan. Food quality, as well as, the effects of culture, lifestyle, and economics are explored.


Before declaring this minor, consult with the advisor - Dr. Swanson.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Obtain a Declaration of Minor Form from Student Services (112 Dawson Hall). Have the completed form checked and signed by the Student Services staff.
  2. Once approved, take the completed form to your school/college that you are enrolled in and they will add the notation to your official student record.
  3. After completing all requirements or in progress of completing courses in the same semester you are graduating, go to Student Services (112 Dawson Hall) to fill out and sign a Minor Completion Form.
