Course
Description:
Further study of statistical concepts for bioinformatics. Statistical topics include estimation and hypothesis testing, maximum likelihood, Bayesian analysis, multiple testing, Markov chains, MCMC methods, and random walks. These are applied in BLAST, statistical modeling of DNA sequence, multiple sequence alignment, models for sequence evolution, phylogenetic analysis and other topics.
